Seasonal perfection

It is such a wonderful time of the year.  The morning mists hanging over our village briefly turn us into a magical kingdom.

I wish I could make myself get up this early every morning just to watch the transformation.

Walking the dog through the scent of newly-damp baked earth, pine resin and wood smoke is bliss.  If we could capture this fragrance in a  bottle it would spread happiness wherever sprinkled.

(tomatoes have come down in price too - hurrah!)

  4. Gorgeous!

The local Zirve club had a walk on Sunday but they started at 05:30 and we decided it was too early for us. Though they did get some wonderful views. Maybe it's worth getting up at daybreak....

  5. Stunning photos, Annie. I agree there are some things worth getting up for (just occasionally) and watching the sun rise and the mist hanging on for a little while is definitely one of them. Axxx

  7. Dear Annie, such spectacular photographs. Really stunning. LIke you, I sometimes rise early--not often--and see the sun rise and the apricot skies and think that the natural world truly is a fairy land. Peace.
